The Devil Stick is also known by a number of other names such as a flower stick (when it has tassels on the end to slow it down), stunt stick or rhythm stick (each is slightly different, however perform largely the same purpose which is to dance under the control of your handsticks. Devilsticks have nothing to do with the devil. The designation comes from the Greek term “devil” meaning “to throw across”.
