Thrush is an infection caused by the Candida fungus, also known as yeast or monilia. This fungus occurs naturally in your body without doing any harm, however when your natural pH balance is thrown outside of whack, the Candida multiplies abnormally which causes itchy Thrush to develop. The condition is not serious however, it is a common affliction that can be easily treated.
